This week marks national apprenticeship week. The theme of the week will be 'build the future', focusing on highlighting the benefits apprenticeships have on individuals, businesses, and local communities.
We would like to take the time to shine a light on the positive impact our apprentices have on Concorde Technology Group. To celebrate, we have asked 3 of our apprentices to share their stories and roles.
Ellie Dodd - Finance Apprentice
What does a typical day look like to you?
"A typical day for me consists of posting bank receipts and payments, processing invoices from suppliers, invoicing our customers, and helping with any invoice queries."
Why did you pursue a career in the technology industry?
"I wished to pursue a career in the tech industry as it is a sector that is always evolving which means there are always opportunities, and it also makes my job extremely enjoyable as I am always learning."
Why did you join Concorde Technology Group?
"I joined the team at Concorde because I was given a good opportunity to start my career, as well as learn at the same time. I absolutely love my apprenticeship and have learnt so much through my job, studies, and my amazing team."
Robin Davey - Digital Marketing Apprentice
What does a typical day look like to you?
"The main aspects of my role involve the social media side of a digital marketer. This heavily involves graphic design, prospect research on our social media channels and content creating on our website."
What made you pursue a career in the technology industry?
"I wished to pursue a career in the tech industry as it is one of the most ever-expanding, ever-adapting industries on the planet. Not only does this make the tech industry an incredibly interesting vocation to be a part of, but also one of the more future-proof careers."
Why did you join Concorde Technology Group?
"I joined the team at Concorde Technology Group because they are a local company that is very prevalent in the world of IT. Knowing that they have a good reputation for helping train apprentices to a high-industry standard was another key motivator for me."
Alex Huntington - 1st Line Apprentices Engineer
What does a typical day look like for you?
"I am the first point of contact for any technical issues that customer experience. I take calls, and get the first responses out to incoming tickets as quickly as I can."
What made you pursue a career in the technology industry?
"I wished to pursue a career in the tech industry because I am interested in the the technical side of things in all aspects, and IT services a good career path from a young age."
